I will be crocheting and sending a baby blanket to this cause and would LOVE if any of you would join with me.
Maybe one blanket won't make a huge difference, but I know that your prayers poured into a blanket could make A WORLD of difference to a newborn baby! Not only will it keep that child warm and hopefully prevent sickness but your prayers can change lives! The Lord can use your one act of kindness for multiple children! Your blanket could be passed around from baby to baby until it can't be used anymore. Imagine how many lives can be changed as your prayers are literally wrapped around those babies!

Originally the project was for knit only but it's been revised to included "tight" crochet as well. *yay for me as I LOVE CROCHETING!*

Deadline to send blanket is November 1st so, you have over a month to complete this :)

These don't have a pattern. They were just a vision in my own head.

I wanted a "Short" scarf. One that when the kids wore it, they didn't have to worry about the long parts hanging down and getting in the way.

Baby Doll

I'm calling this one Baby Doll because it was ordered for a baby doll. A young lady has outgrown her doll and wants to give it to her grandmother who collects dolls. She wanted a blanket to accompany the doll when she gave it.
I think this young lady was very pleased!

I'm calling this one "Sage"

I had someone ask me to make a baby blanket match this border:

So I went and got this yarn yesterday. I even got to go to my favorite store Hobby Lobby!

The green is more sagey green (it looks more turqoise in this pic) and the peach is more peachy than pink. And it is an off white. Good Color match? What do you think?

Are you as excited to see the finished results as I am?!?!

It's Completed! I didn't work on this one as much or as often as I could have.. you know life and all.. lol But start to finish, was 2 weeks total.

Baby blues

This is the simplist baby blanket I've ever made! It's just one big granny square from start to finish.
This is of course, for a boy, so I chose baby blue and white (Red Heart) yarn.
I am continually fascinated that you can start with a circle and make it into a square. Nope, usually doesn't take much to amuse me! lol
